Online Image Editor is a multi-platform compatible program that enables content managers and editors to add and maintain photos, images or other graphical material directly from within their browser. OIE works like any Windows-based graphics application. It is a small ActiveX component that the user only has to download once. The full version of OIE contains example scripts in PHP, ASP, ASP.Net, JSP, ColdFusion and CGI executable.

An image editor changes an image file rather like a word processor. In a word processor, you edit characters or groups of characters. In an image editor, you edit pixels or groups of pixels. In Windows systems you should have Microsoft Paint - look in Programs -Accessories. Microsoft Photo Editor, supplied with Microsoft Office, does more than Paint. If necessary, install it from the Office CD. Paint or Photo Editor are sufficient for basic needs. More capable commercial image editors, for example to change colors, to simulate how a work of art might originally have looked, cost from a few pounds to several hundred pounds.

User Interface

There are numerous annotation capabilities with the Corporate Studio Image Editor. Use the tools and symbols in the left toolbar to markup your image. Once
created, each new object can be manipulated by using the control features across the top of the interface. If you require additional assistance with the Image Editor, there is a 15 page reference document which outlines, in detail, the different aspects of the Corporate Studio Image Editor interface. Click the "Help" button in the Image Editor interface to view this document.

Tools /Symbols

Create circles, rectangles, and irregular shapes to highlight specific areas on your image. Each object has multiple options to set line and fill colors, orientation, and
transparency. The text overlay option allows you to create and place text anywhere on the image, while controlling font style, color, etc. This is great for labeling streets, adjacent properties, and legends. Choose from various stock symbols to identify major transportation routes, properties, parking, and site arrows. The image upload feature enables you to insert any JPEG into your original image. This works well with property photos, floor plans, corporate logos, etc.

Online Image Editor 2.1 (OIE) is a special enhancement for any Content or Website Management System. The user only once downloads the special component (ActiveX) and from that moment on he can edit images directly from within his browser.
